About Dawn LaCarte
Dawn LaCarte has more than 25 years of experience in human services, clinical, and managerial domains. She has had a challenging and enriching experience working in a variety of settings. Dawn feels most passionately about her work with a diagnostically complex group of individuals addressing substance dependence, post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive, anxiety, and attention disorders in addition to trauma, grief & loss.
Over the past six years, she has gained extensive experience touring treatment programs across the country to assist in the correct identification and placement of suitable treatment. Currently, Dawn LaCarte serves as the Clinical Outreach Liaison for Cottonwood Tucson, an Arizona-based addiction rehab and behavioral health treatment center. Here, she helps collaborate with clinicians, families and programs looking to identify premiere residential services for Co-Occurring Disorders, Assessment, Eating Disorders, OCD, Borderline Personality Disorder as well as Trauma and Grief & Loss.
As Clinical Outreach Liaison, Dawn LaCarte has represented Cottonwood Tucson’s residential services on a national level. Dawn takes great pride in helping clinicians, families and programs seamlessly connect with Cottonwood’s premiere clinical services to ensure that their clients and family members identify the services that best meet their needs.
Dawn works diligently to establish relationships with area clinicians, intensive outpatient programs and extended care programs, provided outreach for our services through print and internet marketing.
Dawn LaCarte graduated from The University of Albany with a B.A. in Sociology and has an Advanced CASAC from NYS OASAS. Prior to joining the team at Cottonwood, Dawn spent 10 years as a Therapist, Executive Director, and Supportive Living Director for a non-profit agency. Prior to that, she had an extensive career as a Human Resource Manager.
Dawn is also a Level II Master Practitioner of the Japanese art of Reiki, a set of techniques that promote relaxation, stress reduction, and healing.
